You guys wanted to see more details so here it is :) I put in a few extra hours into this. You can see the old version to compare. I'll repost the original description from the old one here.

"During the days when I was in Iraq, there were times when we had to patrol on foot rather than being in our strykers. Depending on the time and place, patrolling would feel as if we were the only ones here in existence. It can be so quiet and isolated it keeps you thinking "what the fuck, I better have my eye's peeled and wide open!". The thought of being attacked/ambushed is not a good feeling at all.

Quick speedy for fun. I am trying out some new techniques. I will add more details in the future along with some other old speedies.

PS CS3. Intous3/Cintiq. "

I would like to thank everyone who has commented and faved my previous works. Lately I haven't been on much to thank everyone back.

I hope you guys like this one. Oh and I was inspired by the chief for the helmet design.

Cool image. I've heard of stories very similar to yours, and adding that to a painting really adds some strong emotions. Also seeing that you were in Iraq, thanks for serving man.

This is just phenomenal work any way you cut it. I've had this sitting in my favorites for a while and I just went back to look at it again. Muy impressive indeed.

I love your detail. For me personally these hit home. Also I can't help but admire the spin forward in time of the standard issuance.
